Ingredients
• 1 cup long-grain basmati rice (dhoye aur nikale)
• 1 tablespoon cooking oil (tel)
• 1 pyaaz (onion), chopped (kata hua)
• 2 lahsun ki kaliyan (cloves of garlic), minced (barik kata hua)
• 1-inch adrak (ginger), grated (kaddukas kiya hua)
• 1 teaspoon haldi powder (turmeric powder)
• 1 teaspoon dhaniya powder (coriander powder)
• 1 teaspoon jeera powder (cumin powder)
• 1 teaspoon garam masala powder (spice mix)
• 1/2 teaspoon lal mirch powder (cayenne pepper)
• 1/2 teaspoon namak (salt)
• 1/2 cup kata hua dhaniya (chopped cilantro leaves)
• 1/2 cup dahi (yogurt)
• 1/2 cup paani (water)
Method
Step- 1. Bade bartan mein 1 tablespoon tel garam karein. Usmein kata hua pyaaz daal ke 5 minute tak bhunein, jab tak wo naram aur shehadil lagne lage.
Step- 2. Ab ismein barik kata hua lahsun aur kaddukas kiya hua adrak daal ke aur ek minute tak pakaye, hamesha hilate rahein.
Step- 3. Ab dalein haldi powder, dhaniya powder, jeera powder, garam masala, lal mirch powder, aur namak. Ek minute tak aise hi hilate rahein, taaki masale acchi tarah mix ho jaaye pyaaz ke saath.
Step- 4 Ab daalein dhoye aur nikale hue chawal, dhyan dein ki masala acche se un chawalon mein mil jaaye.
Step- 5. Daalein dahi aur paani. Sab kuch achhe se mila lein aur gentle boil hone dein.
Step- 6. Jab ye ubalne lage, aanch ko dhire kar dein, bartan ko dhak karke 15 minute tak ya jab tak chawal puri tarah se naram aur pak gaye ho, pakayein.
Step- 7. Aakhri mein kata hua dhaniya daal dein, jisse khana swadisht ban jayega. Aapka Pele Chawal taiyar hai, garama-garam serve karein.
Helpful Tips
• Agar aapko thoda jyada mirch wala swad pasand hai, to lal mirch powder ka upyog adhik kar sakte hain.
• Chinta mat karein agar aapke paas dahi nahi hai, aap sour cream ya buttermilk ka upyog kar sakte hain.
• Is dish ko aur swadisht banane ke liye aap sabjiyan bhi daal sakte hain, jaise ki matar, gajar, ya aloo.
